Time to rewrite my book dedications because God has shown me how many people have helped me over the years, of their own volition or by his touching their hearts, whispering in their ears.
Yes, we are each responsible for our lives, but I am glad and grateful to have let go of the limiting notion that we must each totally stand alone in this life and do everything for ourselves because the reality is that is not how the world truly works and we can make the world better by recognizing this truth. Leaders need people to lead, people need leaders to lead, employers need employees, employees need employers, and the list goes on and on and on. We’re in this big, amazing, wild, and wonderful world together and we don’t ever have to feel alone.
And when we accept it is okay to have difficulties at times and to ask for help … or even accept it without asking … and to give it … we ramp up the quality of our lives and of those lives we touch.
This I know because as someone determined to do everything on my own, I sure am relieved and happy to have learned this valuable lesson … to have connected the dots to see through a different lens than the one I used my whole life.
Just in time too since I’m bringing advisors and investors/partners on board and will also be contracting and recruiting as my company, Connecting the Dots … with The Respect Principle, grows! But of course, as I’m learning, God’s timing is always perfect so I take this lesson learned also as an indicator this is finally and really happening now. Wahoo and Amen!
