Pride developed so I would get up from being pushed down repeatedly … Patience developed to persevere … Now pride is being tempered with humility to become the best person I can be … with God, versus just me or anyone or everyone else directing my steps.
Whatever your biggest challenges, you don’t have to overcome them alone and it’s much more rewarding not to try and do so.
Just a little bit of trivia. Joyce Meyer has written many books that are sold around the world. I remember from one of her messages the worst selling book is about pride. I know from experience we confuse pride, trying to feel good and worthy about ourselves because of our looks, money, things we have, talents, etc., rather than knowing our true worth … that we are valuable simply for being a person, a human, a life … and if you are a believer, then as a child of God.
