“Late Bloomer Revolution”

“We need a “Late Bloomer Revolution” as our brains are not fully developed into our thirties.”

Which, by the way, was when I re-discovered what I really wanted to do, write, when I started university in my mid-thirties while employed by Levi Strauss & Co. Canada Inc. However, without overnight success people convinced me writing was a waste of time and I stopped, living minimally to survive, in jobs better suited to an Introvert’s personality’s needs, especially a very wounded one. What I know now? Don’t ever let people decide who you are and what is right for you … because you could not only lose the life you were meant to thrive with, you may actually lose your life in the ways chosen to cope with feeling undervalued, unappreciated, and overall disrespected.

Writing People Off is One of Humanity’s Repetitive and Biggest Errors

“Cancel culture — the phenomenon of promoting the “canceling” of people, brands and even shows and movies due to what some consider to be offensive or problematic remarks or ideologies — isn’t all that new.”

“Dr. Jill McCorkel, a professor of sociology and criminology at Villanova University, told The Post that the roots of cancel culture have been present throughout human history. Societies have punished people for behaving outside of perceived social norms for centuries, she said, and this is just another variation.”

“Cancel culture is an extension of or a contemporary evolution of a much bolder set of social processes that we can see in the form of banishment,” she said. “[They] are designed to reinforce the set of norms.”
