“We need a “Late Bloomer Revolution” as our brains are not fully developed into our thirties.”
Which, by the way, was when I re-discovered what I really wanted to do, write, when I started university in my mid-thirties while employed by Levi Strauss & Co. Canada Inc. However, without overnight success people convinced me writing was a waste of time and I stopped, living minimally to survive, in jobs better suited to an Introvert’s personality’s needs, especially a very wounded one. What I know now? Don’t ever let people decide who you are and what is right for you … because you could not only lose the life you were meant to thrive with, you may actually lose your life in the ways chosen to cope with feeling undervalued, unappreciated, and overall disrespected.
