Happy Canada Day!

Hooray, we are celebrating how fortunate we are to live in Canada, whether as new citizens or citizens from a line of immigrants from around the world.

We celebrate Native Americans who were here before us too.

We are a diverse nation still learning to be inclusive, but we are getting better at it.

We are all Canadians!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

Happy Canada Day! We Are a Nation of People …

Yes, in Canada, we have challenges too, but in comparison to many other countries, we are greatly blessed. We are a democracy. We can choose our beliefs and act upon them with little repercussions, unless our acts are illegal, of course. We dwell on a vast span of land, rich in resources, including fresh water, and diverse landscapes. We live in an economy, that though it has its ups and downs, is still so much stronger and abundant than many other countries. We have so much to  be grateful for on this day that celebrates Canada’s 149th birthday … for those who fought for our freedom … plus regrets and prayers for those we harmed as a result of our immigration and takeover of what was once a foreign land to most of us.

We are a nation of people from all around the world gathered together to enjoy and share all that we have built together and will build together as we increasingly develop our respect for all people, whether here within our borders or here on the world we share.

Happy Canada Day! May we all remember our own roots and welcome all those who desire to share and contribute to our beautiful, democratic country, thereby honouring those who worked before us to create what we now enjoy, and us, working to create an even better nation for our future generations … whatever their origins may be.
