Pride and Patience

Pride developed so I would get up from being pushed down repeatedly … Patience developed to persevere … Now pride is being tempered with humility to become the best person I can be … with God, versus just me or anyone or everyone else directing my steps.

Whatever your biggest challenges, you don’t have to overcome them alone and it’s much more rewarding not to try and do so.

Just a little bit of trivia. Joyce Meyer has written many books that are sold around the world. I remember from one of her messages the worst selling book is about pride. I know from experience we confuse pride, trying to feel good and worthy about ourselves because of our looks, money, things we have, talents, etc., rather than knowing our true worth … that we are valuable simply for being a person, a human, a life … and if you are a believer, then as a child of God.

You pick … Putin, Napolean, Hitler, Caesar … from the history of “takers”

Taking what is not yours shows the disrespect you have for life … others and yours.

Taking by violent force what is not yours reveals the violence in your heart.

What was done to you, is what you do … until you know better … until you finally believe that you are valuable all on your own, without what you own defining you.

All the countries, people and possessions you think you own, in fact own you because you need them to feel valued … respected in a world still unconsciously driven by the Disrespect Philosophy where we are taught none of us are valuable unless someone or some group says we are by meeting their standards, qualifications, expectations …

When you finally stand in the truth of who you are as a unique individual with a high RESPECT LEVEL, you will no longer need to possess what is not yours, but instead will take the best care of your own self … and in that way, you will serve … and as a result … receive as a gift what you desire … instead of having to steal what is not yours to have.

Thought Food of the Day … How do you keep the balance between confidence, assuredness and boldness … pride and arrogance?

Thought Food of the Day

Thinking about the balance needed to be an artist, writer or entrepreneur … there seems to be a fine line between being confident, assured and bold in displaying and promoting one’s creations, regardless of the product or service, and being considered arrogant and prideful … yet, people who are job searching in order to work for someone else … for someone who had started a business they now want to work for … are counselled to demonstrate confidence, assuredness and boldness … so I’m wondering why it seems to be more acceptable to sell yourself to get a job or promote some other person’s creativity or thoughts, but not so acceptable when you’ve created something of your own … be it an artistic creation, something written or some other product or service … just some considerations as I work on my own balancing act.

Of course, I am also wondering … What are your thoughts on this subject?
