3. Discovering legally, contractually, etc. how to best offer the Connecting The Dots With The Respect Principle contest to engage youth, caregivers, teachers, and administration in schools, communities, and organizations

BIG RESULTS

2. Saved lives because of averted tragedies

3. More children and teens discovering and realizing their potential

BENEFITS and REWARDS

1. Altruistic satisfaction for helping in my unique way

2. Financial compensation for my unique talents and perseverance

3. Ability to give back even more to others because of my success

Feeling honored, fortunate, and blessed to have the combination of talents, skills, and experience to serve by creating a unifying, practical, logical, and compassionate initiative , Connecting The Dots With The Respect Principle, transforming our ideas of what our world can really be like when we value … respect … life simply for being other lives we share with our world.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the TED Fellowship

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., one of my role models.

Another step on the staircase for me is submitting my TED Fellowship application!

Thanks TED for the opportunity and references for making this possible! And of course, thank God for putting the “Connecting The Dots With The Respect Principle” concept and global initiative into my heart, mind, and spirit, plus what I need to fulfill the mission!

Bravo to another forerunner, Dr. Bill Thomas, for “Connecting The Dots With The Respect Principle” … for valuing … respecting people enough to find a more positive way to think about and to care for seniors.

Ramping Up Executive Expertise

Grateful for the range of consultants’ expertise being shared, both the theoretical and experiential knowledge, by the consultants writing books for more effective, efficient management of organizations.

Without a high school education, but a knack for organizing and leadership, in my early twenties I was thrust into management as Assistant Manager for a chain department store in a community of ten thousand, which was the beginning of my professional leadership roles.

Since then, whether head cashier, office manager, storefront manager, corporate human resources, operations, and financial planning team member, plus as founder for a couple of non-profits, (please see this blog’s page, About Kaitlin Ann Trepanier, to also review my subsequent education and professional credits), I have needed two things.

The first was to learn what needed to change in me to be the most effective, yet also the most respectful leader.

The second was to study management experts because I knew in my heart the day would come when I would run my own company and here I am, self-aware of my strengths and what I also need to do to transform any shortfalls into strengths also.

Thankfully, I learn extremely well from books, as well as, testing the material by experiment, which is why I must say Thank You” to all those who have shared their wisdom to aid my transformation from middle management knowledge and skills to senior/executive.

The latest to add to the list of teachers and books are the authors Jeffrey Ford and Laurie Ford. Jeffrey Ford is associate professor of management in the Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University in Columbus. Laurie Ford is a consultant to managers and executives in business, government agencies, and associations on organization redesign and change implementation.

Jeffrey and Laurie’s book, The Four Conversations, Daily Communication That Gets Results, is the latest in the arsenal of knowledge transforming me into the executive I have known in my heart for years I was destined to become.

The journey has been very long, very untraditional, yet also very powerful in enriching my natural proclivities, developing new ones, and emboldening me with what is needed to meet the goals.

Now, it’s back to reading and the two books waiting to be finished and released this fall for the company’s surge ahead.

Best wishes to you and your own endeavours moving you closer to the fulfilment of your dreams. Never give up … just stay open, focused, and adaptable. Oh yes, and patient.

Respectfully,

Kaitlin Ann Trepanier

The Workshop Production, The Filming, and More!

My energy and focus was rebooted for my social business venture, Connecting the Dots … with The Respect Principle, yesterday by contacting a local theatre and videographers, not just for the business plan being presented to a few grant funders this month, but to set the workshop production and filming of the production for the DVD for this spring that will be presented in autumn 2017!

Grateful to be back on this track and off the many other tracks other people want and expect.

Thanks for diligently coming back and please keep coming because you won’t be disappointed.

As always, respect who you are by being the best you you can be!

Wow! Flashbacks to … Thanks!

Wow! Flashbacks to my Business Administration studies at Westervelt College in London and my first year in Toronto at Levi Strauss & Co. (Canada) Inc. head office in the Business Planning department as I refresh my accounting principles knowledge in preparation for writing the financial statements that are part of the required 10-page business plan for the Hawk’s Nest upcoming competition! Also reminds of my fellow students and of course, my boss and long-time friend, Cyn and the good times we shared … plus Gene and Roseanne of the Operations team, plus Tammie, Karen and the Human Resourcers team.

Thinking about the people and opportunities I’ve been blessed with … even if I didn’t know it at the time … thanks!

THANK YOU for YOUR PRAYERS … DAD PASSED

Hello

On Friday, March 20, 2015, our Dad passed away after a long, arduous, and as it turns out, a very painful existence the past few years, but most notably the past months and the most painful the past week.

Two services are being held … one in Kincardine Thursday, March 26, and the other is tentatively booked for Tuesday, April 7, in Wallaceburg where his many of his relatives still live and where he became famous as a lacrosse player for the Wallaceburg Red Devils … and where I lived the first sixteen years of my life. Details are on my facebook page, Kaitlin Ann Trepanier.

Sorting everything out the past few days with my brother has taken most of my time, plus the recovery I needed from sleeping on a love seat in the hospital palliative room last week and waking every two hours when they woke him to give him meds and move his body position.

Thanks for dropping by. I will be getting back online by the end of the week.

Best wishes,
Kaitlin A. Trepanier

5000 Views and Climbing … as is the Need to Raise the “RESPECT LEVELS” of all People

Hello!

The past week took its toll on my time to work on the re-construction of this site, including the presentation of many exciting new elements; however, there has been a break in the urgent immediacy regarding my Dad and his care needs … where higher Respect Levels are also needed … the lessons learned from my experience the past few years in this role for my Dad inspired me to write and post, Putting Your Life into the Hands of Others …

Though in a different way, children in school, also put their lives into others hands, trusting them to keep them safe … but today’s events in Pakistan where over 140 were killed in a very low Respect Level act compels me to get back on track regardless of what else is going on … because we need more valuing … respecting … of all life in our world to stop such very low Respect Level thoughts and actions.

… so, tomorrow, back to the blog and its reconstruction to further achieve that goal!

And thank you for dropping by with your over 5000 views!
